The Book Of Eli

A lone hero must fight his way across the wasteland of post-apocalyptic America to protect a sacred book that holds the key to saving the future of humanity.

I LOVED this movie! The fight scenes were very well played. I want to own this movie. There is some humor in it and it makes the movie that much better. I'm still uncertain if I like the ending or not. I would have to watch again to make a final decision. But I think this movie is a must watch. Decide for yourself.

My skin is melting!

Or so it felt like it was melting off the next day.
As some of you know I went boating with my friends; Daniel, Justin, Joy, and Emmy. It was so nice on the lake. The sun was shining and there was barely anyone on the lake, since it was a week day.
At first we were having problems with the boat. It was tipping to one side when you went to fast. Justin's dad finally called him back and we got that straightened out.
Then we went tubing. And I think I went one to many times. Every time I got flung off I think I hit the water a little harder than the time before.
We swam and snacked. After my last run on the tube I decided I was pretty much done for the day. So while the others swam I layed on the boat and tanned. The sun felt so nice on my skin.
Of course I didn't use sunscreen because I'm an idiot and I burnt to a crisp.
After we got the boat out of the water we learned that the prop or whatever wasn't going up all the way. We couldn't figure out why. So while I went and changed into dry clothes the guys stood around trying to figure it out.
A guy from the lakes marina finally helped and they figured it out together. Then it was off to eat. And I was starving.
It was a great day. And I cant wait to do it again, minus the tube.

The Wolfman

Lawrence Talbot learns of his brothers disappearance and returns home to find that his brothers body has been found. Lawrence sets out to find his brothers killer and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Someone or something has been killing the villagers.

I thought this movie had a good plot but could you have cut out half the movie and it would of been just as good. It just seemed to drag on and on. I almost thought there wasn't going to be an ending. Would this be a movie I would watch again, HECK NO! The only way I would watch it again is if I could edit it and make it shorter.

Dr.Pap. Paging Dr.Pap.

*Warning to guys who may read my blog. If you don't like to read about girly gorey details I suggest you turn back now!

**If you for some reason you decided to read on don't say I didn't warn you.

So I'm back to my blog and I have missed it soo much! I know I'm behind on reading every one's blogs but hopefully Ill catch up on everything within the next couple days. If you think there is a blog that was posted that you think Id like to read please give the link and I would love to check it out.

Moving on. This afternoon is a time where I would like to have an out of body experience. I may be a woman but that doesn't mean I like to do the things we have to do. Example having a period. I hate having it. I don't even like to say the word period unless it deals with the thing on the end of a sentence. And I know you can be on the depo shot and not have a period. Well I tried that option and it made my face break out so bad!

Another example of me not liking being a woman is having to get a yearly pap smear. I bet most of you already knew what this post was about from the title. But anyway. Yes today is my annual pap test. Congrats right? I know it needs to be done to make sure I'm healthy and what not down there but I just wish there was some other way to go about it.

The only good thing I like about doing this is I found a really good doctor. She is in and out in only a few seconds. When I went to her one of the first couple times my mom went to the bathroom while I got checked in. They got me in right away and I was out in no time. My mom barely started reading her magazine in the waiting room when I came out. She thought there was something wrong.

All in all wish me luck that it goes smoothly and there's nothing wrong!

So far this week and beyond

Monday I slept most the day and then I went to work.
Tuesday I slept a good portion of the day. Then I came to Woodbine to ran some errands. Did some recycling, went to the bank, and paid my car payment. Then I went back to Dunlap to pay the rent. Then it was off to work.
*The reason Ive been so tired this week I'm blaming on mother nature. If you don't get it from just that reference Ill explain in more detail. Guys if you read this cover your eyes. I'm having my period this week *shudder* (I'm 20 and still don't like to say period when it deals with my innards instead of the end of a sentence).
Today I'm hanging out at my parents house borrowing their Internet since I don't have Internet at my house. Then I'm going to go home and shower. Tonight I plan on hanging out with Daniel at the shop (the shop is the place where they work on their race cars and drink). Just hanging out and drinking.
Tomorrow I'm going to be taking Little Man to the vet to get his nails cut. Since neither Ashley nor I will do it. Then Daniel invited me to go boating with him, Justin, and Joy (Justin's girlfriend). Well be on the lake most the day probably drinking. Then that night who knows.
Friday I will most likely be lazy most of the day. Then I will head to work. Its taco night and I'm super excited. My family said they would come for some tacos.
Saturday I will either be going to the races or going to hang out with my friends in CB. Since we still haven't celebrated Jenny's b-day ( well she might of already but I haven't celebrated with her, I know I'm slacking on my duties as a friend).
There you have it my week summed up in one blog. Weird?

Sunday Funday

So this past Sunday I was at my parents for our monthly family day. See since most of my siblings and I have moved out of my parents house, my parents started doing a family get together the first Sunday of every month. Unless some big event is going on then we post pone it til the next Sunday. Without doing this we would hardly see each other. Its really nice to be able to see my family other times besides holidays, graduations, funerals, ect.

So each person is suppose to bring something being the lazy person I was I didn't really think about it til a couple days before so I had nothing to bring this month. But my mom had some lemon bars that I could make as my contribution to the get together. Not homemade of course. Kind of sad because Ive really gotten into making things not from boxes, in other from scratch. But they turned out decent anyway.

For this family get together my "half" brother came up with his new baby and woman. I say "half" because I'm not related to him. He just lived with my family for a couple years and I consider him family. And I say his woman because their not married, although I do think their dating.

Anyway so most of the day I was being distracted by baby Deakin (not sure if that's the right spelling but its pretty close to it). And my sister called me a baby hog. Well if she would have one of her own with Andrew we I wouldn't be such a baby hog when a baby comes to visit.

Sorry moving on. So we ate and talked about whats been going on in our lives. I guess I have now told my family about Daniel, not that it was a big secret anyway. Ashley was looking over my shoulder as I was texting him.

Then the fun really began with dessert. We were out on the deck, passing baby Deakin around, and starting a fire in the fire pit. For dessert we had my lemon bars, left over brownies and we made Smores. Yum Yum Yummy!

My mom had apparently been going through some of her old stuff and came upon some fire works she took from my brother as a punishment some years ago. She brought those out and all the boys were having a blast lighting those off. They were pretty old and I didn't even know if they would work. But the boys were determined. And they did.

So quick recap......
Baby, Smores, Fireworks.
*None of the pictures below were taken at the party. All were found on Yahoo.

A Triple Movie Review

That's right a triple threat of movies. Ive watched a few movies lately and figured Id let you guys in on them.
This first movie is Frailty.
An FBI investigation that takes you into the Meiks family lives. Fenton, a son in the Meiks family, has flash backs from his childhood. Claiming he knows who the "God's hands" killer is.

This movie was pretty good. A little twisted but decent. Then half way through the movie is changed up a little bit. You have to follow it a little bit but in the end it makes the movie more interesting, in my opinion.

The second movie Hard Candy.

A teenage girl is going to a local coffee shop to meet up with a 30 something man she met on the internet. But as the night goes on the turns out that Hayley isn't so innocent.

This made for an interesting movie. There were alot of twists and turns. You had to pay attention during some parts or you weren't going to get the full details of some. It was kind of good but I'm not sure if it would be one of those movies Id watch again.

The third and final movie is Night Of The Living Dorks.
Three losers in high school are turned into zombies for a night after attempting to try their hand at voodoo. Now they can seek revenge on the people that have bullied them for so long.
This was originally a German film and the voices were changed to English. So the voices are a little off. It is slightly annoying but you don't notice so much as the movie goes on. There was a lot of humor. Not that all the jokes were funny or at least I didn't think so. Yes there are some pretty funny parts but Id probably only watch this again if I was pretty bored.

Now don't start freaking out. There will always be more movie reviews another day because I am addicted to movies. And yes I used my opinion but you are always more than welcome to watch these movies, form your own opinion, and let me know and everyone else what you thought. Your opinion is always welcome!
